1. Plastic Packaging
Overview
Fisherman's Friend Lozenges are available in many different great flavours such as Aniseed, Blackcurrant and Original which is a combination of Menthol & Eucalyptus flavour. The benefit from these lozenges is that they will occasionally relieve minor sore throat pain.
Product Analysis
⦁ Functionality: The current packaging effectively protects the lozenges, but it may not be user-friendly for individuals with limited dexterity or mobility issues.
⦁ Aesthetics: While the packaging serves its purpose, it could benefit from a more modern and visually appealing design to attract younger consumers.
⦁ Sustainability: While the packaging materials are typically cardboard or plastic, there may be opportunities to enhance sustainability by using recycled materials or reducing packaging waste.
⦁ Branding: The packaging could better communicate the product's unique selling points, such as its natural ingredients and effectiveness in relieving sore throat pain.
Market Research
Fisherman's Friend Lozenges target consumers experiencing minor sore throat pain, often associated with colds, allergies, or seasonal congestion. The current packaging may resonate well with older demographics who prioritize functionality and reliability. However, younger consumers may prefer packaging designs that are more visually appealing and environmentally friendly. Market research could help identify specific preferences and expectations within different demographic segments.
Competitor Analysis
Competing throat lozenge brands may offer packaging designs that emphasise modernity, sustainability, and convenience. For example, some brands use eco-friendly materials or minimalist designs to appeal to environmentally conscious consumers. Others may focus on innovative packaging features, such as resealable pouches or individual wrappers, to enhance convenience and freshness. Analysing these trends can provide insights into potential areas for improvement in Fisherman's Friend Lozenges' packaging design. Strepsils and Ricola are competitors to Fisherman.
2. Can/Tin Packaging
Overview
A preserved fruit product called longan in syrup is created by peeling, seeding, and then submerging longan fruit in a solution of sweet syrup. The longan is a tropical fruit that originated in Asia and is prized for its flavour—sweet and flowery—and translucent flesh. Longan in syrup is made by boiling the fruit in a solution of sugar and water until it softens and absorbs the sweetness of the syrup. It is frequently eaten as a snack or dessert, either by itself or as a topping for different foods.
Product Analysis
⦁ Ingredients: Longan fruit, water, sugar (and optionally other flavourings like pandan leaves or ginger).
⦁ Nutritional Value: Longan fruit is low in calories and fat but contains natural sugars. The syrup adds additional sugar content.
⦁ Packaging: Longan in syrup is typically sold in cans or jars to preserve its freshness and flavour. Packaging may vary in size to cater to different consumer needs. This packaging‘s colour is very abrupt and the picture just has the longan, it looks very easy and not creative.
⦁ Shelf Life: Depending on the preservatives and packaging methods used, the shelf life can vary from several months to over a year.
Market Research
Worldwide consumers adore Longan in syrup for its versatile and tropical sweetness. It fulfils appetites for exotic flavours and decadent delights, making it appealing to both Asian and worldwide audiences. Asian speciality foods like longan in syrup are in high demand as interest in international cuisines rises. This demand is driven by consumers who are health-conscious and prefer natural, minimally processed snacks. It is widely available through a variety of distribution channels, such as Asian grocery stores, speciality food stores, and internet platforms, and food connoisseurs worldwide are increasingly becoming fans of it.
Competitor Analysis
Since longan in syrup has a longer shelf life and is more convenient than fresh longan fruit, it competes with preserved fruits like lychee and jackfruit in syrup. In an ever-changing industry, well-known brands compete with emerging ones for consumers' attention by highlighting distinctive flavours, quality ingredients, and creative packaging. The competitors of Logan in syrup are Aroy-D and Del Monte.
3. Glass Packaging
Overview
Light superior soy sauce is a type of soy sauce distinguished from typical black soy sauce by its paler hue and softer taste. It is made with a mixture of water, salt, fermented soybeans, and wheat that is allowed to ferment to give it a unique flavour. In Asian cooking, this kind of soy sauce is frequently used to intensify the flavours of foods like stir-fries, marinades, dipping sauces, and salads. For both home cooks and professional chefs, its adaptability and capacity to enhance flavour without overpowering other components make it a popular choice.
Product Analysis
⦁ Ingredients: Light superior soy sauce typically contains soybeans, wheat, salt, and water. The precise ratios and fermentation process may vary between brands, influencing the flavour and aroma of the final product.
⦁ Packaging: Light superior soy sauce is commonly available in bottles or plastic containers of various sizes to accommodate different consumer needs. The design is very innovative cause till the previous era already had this normal design. It’s colour is also very monotonous.
⦁ Usage: It is used as a seasoning and flavour enhancer in a wide range of dishes, including stir-fries, marinades, soups, salads, and dipping sauces
Market Research
A wide range of consumers looking for subtle flavour and adaptability in their food are satisfied by light, superior soy sauce. Its appeal transcends Asian cultures and is consistent with the increasing demand for flavours from throughout the world. Furthermore, compared to darker soy sauces, its decreased salt level appeals to health-conscious consumers. Its widespread availability guarantees its appearance in a variety of culinary contexts. It may be found in supermarkets, Asian grocery stores, speciality food outlets, and online sellers.
Competitor Analysis
Light superior soy sauce is in competition with ordinary light, dark, and low-sodium soy sauces in the market; each is designed for a particular use in cooking. Many companies, from well-known Asian brands to up-and-coming businesses, make excellent light soy sauce. Consumer preferences are shaped by factors like brand recognition, quality, pricing, and packaging in this highly competitive market, which encourages innovation and industry differentiation. Lee Kum Kee and Kikkoman are competitors’ Light superior soy sauce.

Overview
Popular vanilla-flavoured wafer cookies under the Nilla name are produced by Nabisco, a division of Mondelez International. These round, thin cookies have a deep vanilla flavour and a delicate texture. Nilla Wafers were first introduced in the late 1800s and have since grown to be a popular snack for people of all ages. They are frequently used as stand-alone sweets or combined with other dessert dishes, including cheesecake crusts or banana pudding.
Product Analysis
⦁ Ingredients: Nilla Wafers typically contain ingredients such as enriched flour, sugar, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. They are often made with simple, recognizable ingredients.
⦁ Nutritional Value: While Nilla Wafers are delicious, they are also relatively high in sugar and calories, making them a treat to be enjoyed in moderation.
⦁ Packaging: Nilla Wafers are typically packaged in boxes or plastic sleeves, with the cookies neatly arranged in rows. This packaging helps maintain freshness and prevents breakage during transportation. However, the design of the packaging is not attractive and innovative.
Market Research
With their nostalgic taste and adaptability as sweets, Nilla Wafers are popular with a broad range of consumers, including seniors, young adults, and families. Sweet snacks like Nilla Wafers continue to have a significant market share even in the face of the movement towards better eating. Producers are investigating whole-grain or reduced-sugar options in response to consumers' changing tastes. Nilla Wafers are a popular sweet snack and ingredient for baking that are easily accessible to customers looking for them. You can find them in grocery stores, convenience stores, and internet sellers.
Competitor Analysis
Other brands of vanilla-flavoured wafer cookies with comparable taste profiles compete with Nilla Wafers in a saturated market. They also face competition from a broad variety of sugary foods that appeal to different customer tastes, like flavour-infused crackers and chocolate chip cookies. Another difficulty is the private label products seen in grocery stores, which prioritise quality while charging reasonable costs. In order to keep ahead of the competition and retain their market appeal, Nilla Wafers have to innovate and stand out. Its competitors are Meiji and Kleebler.

The Product:
Product Name
Jackfruit based sausage
Description
Jackfruit sausages offer health benefits and lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional meat. They provide a meat-like experience, dietary fiber, and support sustainability. Using jackfruit in sausages promotes healthier diets and reduces the environmental impact of meat consumption.
The Brand:
Macam Meat
Macam Meat is a unique and innovative plant-based sausage made from the byproduct of jackfruit. The name "Macam" is derived from the Malay word meaning "like" or "similar to," highlighting our mission to create a product that mimics the texture and flavor of traditional meat. By using the fibrous rags of the jackfruit, Macam Meat delivers a satisfying, meat-like experience while being entirely plant-based. This sustainable approach not only provides a delicious alternative for those seeking to reduce their meat consumption but also contributes to reducing food waste by utilizing the often discarded parts of the jackfruit.
