Major Project 1 - Task 3 Concept Presentation

INSTRUCTION

Timeframe: Week 06 - Week 07

Description:

This project presentation represents the outcome of a carefully developed design solution that responds to a specific need within the target audience. Through the creation of Lalallama, the project delivers a product that holds distinct social and cultural relevance. Every element—from concept development to visual execution—demonstrates careful attention to detail, thoughtful organization, and a strong grasp of aesthetic and stylistic considerations. It reflects my ability to merge creativity with strategy, and effectively communicate within my area of specialization.

Week 06

In this phase of the project, I took the lead on finalizing the website design and developing social media promotional materials. Although I wasn’t directly involved in every aspect, I actively contributed ideas related to the overall aesthetic and messaging to ensure consistency with our brand identity. Additionally, we created posters for the upcoming launch — a particularly exciting step, as it made the brand feel more real and tangible.

Feedback

Week 6:
This week, I concentrated on finalizing the remaining branding components to ensure everything was ready for our upcoming presentation. I focused on refining the logo guidebook and contributed to the packaging design, making sure each element was visually consistent and aligned with our brand direction. Additionally, I worked on completing the e-portfolio, carefully organizing and polishing all necessary materials ahead of the submission deadline. I also took time to enhance our presentation slides, ensuring they clearly conveyed our brand’s story, values, and visual identity.

Week 7:
The overall design appears too playful and cute, which does not reflect our brand’s identity as a lifestyle brand. While the chosen colour palette isn’t necessarily bad, it should better convey a more refined and lifestyle-oriented image. Consider adjusting it with tones that align with a modern, minimal aesthetic. Additionally, the font colour in the poster can be changed to blue or grey to enhance readability and brand consistency. Lastly, the reverse and black & white versions of the logo are incorrect and need to be revised to follow proper brand guidelines.

Reflection

This task was all about tying everything together. I concentrated on finalizing the branding elements, especially refining the logo guidebook and supporting the packaging design to ensure everything felt cohesive and aligned with our brand identity. It was satisfying to see how all the pieces—colors, typography, and visuals—came together to form a unified look.

Working on the e-portfolio gave me a chance to reflect on our progress and organize our work in a professional and presentable way. It also reminded me how important documentation is in the creative process. Additionally, enhancing the presentation slides helped me think more deeply about how to clearly communicate our brand story and values to an audience.

Overall, this week challenged me to pay close attention to detail and think critically about how every element contributes to the bigger picture. It was a rewarding experience that strengthened my design, organization, and storytelling skills.
